Gaming Floor

Living Sky Casino is located at 1401 North Service Road East in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, right along the Trans-Canada Highway. If you’re driving through or planning a stay, it is very easy to pull in. You do not have to wind through downtown streets or hunt for side roads - just watch for the highway signs and you roll straight into our lot.

Our gaming floor is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. That window works whether you want a longer visit or a quick session before you keep moving. Slots and table games are the main focus. Blackjack is dealt on the floor, and there are a lot of electronic machines spread through the room, so both focused players and casual visitors usually find something that fits.

A small practical tip, and it applies to any casino, not only ours: when you walk in for the first time, take a few minutes to loop the floor. Look at where the tables sit, how the bank of slots are arranged, where Guest Services and cashiers are. It sounds simple, but most people sit down too fast and then have to keep getting up again.

SIGA Progressive Jackpots

We are tied into three SIGA-operated progressive jackpot networks that link multiple casinos across Saskatchewan. Because the machines are connected between properties, the jackpot totals climb much faster than they would if they were just sitting on our own floor.

Jackpot NameMaximum Prize
Smoke SignalsUp to $2,000,000 CAD
PowerbucksUp to $1,000,000 CAD
Rider NationUp to $100,000 CAD

Smoke Signals is the biggest one, with a maximum of up to 2 million CAD. Powerbucks tops out around the 1 million mark. Rider Nation, branded around the Saskatchewan Roughriders, has a lower cap at 100,000 CAD, but that is still serious money for a spin. All three progressives can be played right on our floor, no private rooms or special sign-up needed.

Player’s Club

Our Player’s Club is how we return some value to regular guests. As you play eligible slots and other games, you earn points on your card. Those points keep building between visits, so if you take a break for a while, you do not lose what you have saved up.

The earning structure is straightforward: once you hit 1,000 points, you can redeem them for $5 CAD in cashback. That amount goes directly as credit to a slot machine when you apply it. No confusing formulas. On top of the cashback, Player’s Club members receive 10% off at our on-site restaurant and can enter member-only draws that are not open to walk-in non-members.

To join, head to the Guest Services desk on the floor. Sign-up happens face-to-face; at the moment there is no online registration option mentioned on our official site. After you get your card, keep it with you. Points only track when your card is in use at a machine or gaming station.

Using Your Player’s Club Points

Once your membership is active, using the card becomes part of your normal routine.

  1. Visit Guest Services on your first trip and register, then pick up your Player’s Club card.
  2. Before you start a session, insert or present your card at the slot or table station.
  3. Your play is recorded automatically and points add up in the background.
  4. You can check how many points you have at a kiosk or by asking Guest Services.
  5. When your balance reaches 1,000 points, choose to turn that into a $5 CAD cashback credit at the redemption terminal.
  6. Use that credit on any slot machine you like on the floor.
  7. While you are at Guest Services, ask which member draws are running and make sure your entries are in.
  8. At the restaurant, show your Player’s Club card when you pay so the 10% dining discount is applied.

Gaming Floor and Player Rewards

Gaming Floor and Player Rewards

Living Sky Casino sits at 1401 North Service Road East in Swift Current, directly off the Trans-Canada Highway, making it easy to reach whether you are passing through or planning a dedicated visit.

The gaming floor runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., covering both short stops and longer sessions.

Key details about the gaming experience:

  • Slot machines and table games including blackjack are available on the floor
  • Three SIGA progressive jackpot networks are active: Smoke Signals (up to $2,000,000 CAD), Powerbucks (up to $1,000,000 CAD), and Rider Nation (up to $100,000 CAD)
  • The Player’s Club loyalty program lets members earn points on slots and other games, with 1,000 points redeemable for $5 cashback
  • Player’s Club members also receive around 10% off dining inside the casino and access to member-only draws

Living Sky Casino opened December 29, 2008, and is part of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) network, a joint First Nations economic development project involving File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council and Nekaneet First Nation.

Dining and Entertainment

We look at Living Sky Casino as more than just rows of slots and tables. There is on-site dining, and the current menus and venues are laid out in the food and beverage section at livingskycasino.ca. If you are in the Player’s Club, that 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks can make a difference over a full evening.

Live entertainment is offered through the year on a seasonal schedule. Shows that require tickets can be booked through our box office at Guest Services. Quite a few guests like to secure tickets earlier so they can plan their visit around a concert or performance. When we say “Live it Up!” we mean that mix: you can eat, play, and take in a live show in a single night instead of treating those as three separate stops.

We also offer meeting and event spaces that can be reserved for private use. Corporate functions, family celebrations, community gatherings all run here from time to time. Groups handle these bookings directly with our team at the casino. It is a practical option that sometimes gets overshadowed by talk about games and jackpots, but it is part of the property.

History and Ownership

Living Sky Casino opened its doors on December 29, 2008, following a construction project of roughly $35 million CAD. It was the first full-scale casino in Swift Current and has remained the main gaming destination for the southwest region of Saskatchewan since launch.

Ownership and daily operations sit under the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). The casino is structured as a partnership between File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council, Nekaneet First Nation, and SIGA. That partnership brings us into the wider SIGA family of First Nations casinos across the province, all running under agreements with the provincial government.

Regulation is handled by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. This body oversees compliance, responsible gambling standards, and other operating rules that apply at all SIGA venues. That framework has been in place for us from the first day of operation and continues to shape how we run the floor.

Planning a Visit

A bit of planning before you drive in usually makes the visit smoother.

  1. Take a look at the entertainment calendar at livingskycasino.ca so you know which shows line up with your dates.
  2. For ticketed events, arrange your seats ahead of time through Guest Services or, when available, online.
  3. If you want to stay overnight, check room availability through the stay-and-play offers listed on the official site.
  4. When you are on the road, follow the Trans-Canada Highway and then the signs to 1401 North Service Road East.
  5. If it is your first time with us, stop at Guest Services to register and receive your Player’s Club card.
  6. Double-check our current gaming floor hours; standard slot hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. every day.
  7. Use your Player’s Club card each session so your play counts and points do not go missing.
  8. For event bookings, room questions, or anything that needs a quick direct answer, call us at (306) 778-5759.

Contact and Access

Our main phone line is (306) 778-5759. We post updates, promotions, and event notices on Facebook at facebook.com/livingskycasino and on Instagram, so social channels are a good way to see what is coming up. Full details about gaming, dining, entertainment, meetings, and stay-and-play packages sit together on our website at livingskycasino.ca.

For online casino play in this region, SIGA uses PlayNow Saskatchewan as its official platform. That is the only online service that is formally connected with SIGA casinos. Living Sky Casino itself is a land-based property and we do not operate a separate online casino under the Living Sky brand.

You will also see us listed on TripAdvisor, 500Nations, and several local and regional hotel directories as one of the key attractions in Swift Current. Nearby hotels, such as Home Inn and Suites and Coast Swift Current Hotel, are located within roughly a kilometer from us and often mention how close they are to the casino. If you are visiting from out of town, that short distance is what makes the stay-and-play idea feel real and not just a phrase on a brochure.
